The challenge

CardConnect is a subsidiary of one of the largest payment companies in the world. They focus on payments technology that allows software partners and companies to securely integrate and process payments. Their complex message and niche meant that they needed a partner to help improve organic search and marketing, with the ultimate goal of bringing more qualified visitors to the site and more efficiently convert them into customers.

Our solution

Pandable conducted a comprehensive audit for CardConnect’s website that examined, among other things:

  • Current keyword positioning and traffic sources
  • Onsite content and keyword mapping
  • Technical SEO issues, site speed, information architecture, and more
  • Backlink profile relative to competitors

The audit identified multiple issues and recommended the following action items, amongst other things:

  • Improve site architecture and internal linking to the homepage and commercial pages to better define website hierarchy
  • Clean up the existing XML sitemap to better reflect important pages on the website
  • Fix internal cannibalisation and overlapping keyword targets across the commercial website, the blog, and the support subdomain
  • Overhaul on page SEO elements to better target niche audience and match user intent
  • Develop and share compelling content around industry topics to generate backlinks from other website and secure their informational keyword rankings

Together, we generated and validated multiple content ideas to identify the most qualified opportunities, then developed a plan to create and promote the content in order to increase rankings and qualified traffic, and earn more backlinks.
